Nonprofit Impact Model
Heal yourself, help heal
the world
Every standard-rate counselling session at EHC funds another for someone in need.
We are dedicated to healing the world by improving access to the highest quality psychological care for everyone. Our non-profit impact model breaks through financial barriers to create a ripple effect of care.
For every standard-rate therapy session at EHC, we can provide a free session for someone who can’t afford it.
As more people choose the EHC for their mental health journey, our capacity to serve others grows. It’s a model rooted in sustainability, equity, and compassion.
Why it Matters
Canada is in the midst of a mental health crisis, but for an increasing number of people, counselling and therapy are out of reach.
The volume, complexity, and severity of mental health challenges continues to rise, but the resources required to meet those needs are not keeping pace, especially for those in lower income groups with higher needs.
The more people who access non-subsidized counselling through the Edmonton Healing Centre, the more people we can provide no-cost or low-cost counselling to.
Every standard-rate counselling session at EHC funds another for someone in need.
Our model is simple. One paid session = one free session.
Because we are a nonprofit, we can use the fees we collect from our regular therapy and counselling to subsidize the cost for someone else. You can pay out of pocket, or through your health benefits.
Clients who receive free and subsidized counselling get the exact same care and expertise as anyone else.
